My New Band.

Lately I've been busy (but trying to not be too busy) starting a band. I recently moved to American Fork and the first day I was here I went to the D.I. down the street from my house to look for records. While looking for records I met an old guy who was also looking for records. His name is Clyde Yewell. He is 68 and he lives in a trailer (# 14). We got talking realized we had much in common, such as similar tastes in old country and blues artists, writing and recording music by ourselves, shopping at thrift stores and collecting cool old stuff.. So right then and there we started a band. I went to his trailer an hour later and stayed there until five in the morning jamming and recording.. Clyde has written and recorded literally thousands of songs on his tape recorder.. His trailer is full of tapes of songs he's recorded, boots, records, paintings and drawings he's done, crafts he's made, and a lot of leather vests he's decorated..

It gets better...

The next day I was taking engagement pictures at this old thrift store that went out of business awhile ago.. It is a cool old looking building, I've taken pictures there a few times over the past few years but never knew anyone had anything to do with the place, let alone live in it. That was until a man and his wife and 19 year old son pulled up in a big what use to be hostess truck. I got talking to them about the place they lived in, why they lived there, how they lived there, folk music, business ideas, and the movie Finding Faith in Christ and....... you'll never guess. Clyde Yewell.. When Homer told me he wanted to turn this old thrift store they were renting as their home into a music venue and that he wanted to jam with me, I told him i'd like to and I told him it was ironic because I had just met another guy I started jamming with. Then, Homer asked what the guys name was.. Clyde Yewell I said.. Homer than said, "Clyde Yewell!! I jam with Clyde!" So there you have it. The band is coming together nicely so far.. We are just recording and trying to put some stuff together, which hasn't been hard at all so far considering the thousands of songs we have written between the three of us. I only have like fifteen songs written though, but I have like three hundred amazing first verses to songs I've written.. So, hopefully we can play a show here in Provo within the next month or so.. Clyde and Homer have a few ideas for a few other people to add to our band. So hopefully we can get the people they have in mind. When this all comes together we will be amazing.. We are amazing.

P.S. Homer was in the movie Finding Faith In Christ.
